The Denver Broncos are about to take-on the Oakland Raiders in an AFC West showdown, but the Broncos won’t have one of their top defenders, as cornerback Champ Bailey is once again out tonight.
The Broncos’ inactives are QB Zac Dysert, CB Quentin Jammer, RB C.J. Anderson, TE Joel Dreessen, OL Chris Kuper, OL Winston Justice and cornerback Champ Bailey
The Raiders’ inactives are QB Matt McGloin, SS Tyvon Branch, LB Sio Moore, T Menelik Watson, G Lucas Nix, OL Antoine McClain and WR Juron Criner.
ESPN first reported the news that the 35-year-old Bailey wouldn’t play after he suffered a foot sprain last month, and still hasn’t been able to get on the field this season. In his place, Chris Harris and Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie will start.
Bailey returned to practice last Thursday, but reportedly suffered a setback, and it’s unknown as to how much longer he’ll miss.
Even without their All-Pro CB, the Broncos lead the league in passes defensed with 26 in the first two games.
