The Cleveland Browns shocked the football world when they traded star running back Trent Richardson to the Indianapolis Colts two games into the season. It seemed like the Browns were throwing in the towel on the season and setting their sights on the first overall draft pick. That same day they announced that third string quarterback Brian Hoyer would start, another throwing the towel in move.

The Browns followed those shocking decision up with a shocking win over the Minnesota Vikings, who made the playoffs last year. Before the game though head coach Rob Chudzinski gave a speech that helped motivate the Browns.

“You know, he was talking about a lot of people doubting, and there’s a lot of ‘crowd noise’ he likes to call it, and we can’t buy into that stuff,” Browns tight end Jordan Cameron said on “NFL AM” on Monday, via NFL.com. “We gotta’ get closer as a team and show some resilience, and I think we did, and it showed yesterday.”

“After Trent leaving, we had a good week of preparation and I think a lot of the guys got closer together. Our team leaders spoke to us about trusting this organization and where they’re going, and ultimately it paid off.”

We’ll see if the Browns can keep that run going.
