8. Carolina Panthers Defense (5.0%)

The Panthers defense is coming off a bye week last week as they get ready to head to Arizona to face the Cardinals. In week 1, Carolina’s D was solid against the Seahawks allowing just 12 points, but their best game by far was right before their bye as they shut out the Giants forcing three turnovers and getting seven sacks.

The front seven of the Panthers D is among the best in the league led by Luke Keuchly at linebacker and Greg Hardy at defensive end. Hardy had three sacks against the Giants and will lead the charge against the battered line of the Arizona Cardinals.

Carolina ranks third-best in the NFL in points allowed per game and is in the top ten for least yards allowed per game. Arizona, on the other hand, is in the top ten in allowing the most points to opposing defenses and the Panthers should be able to get some pressure on Carson Palmer and force him into mistakes this week.
