To no one’s surprise, LeBron James has again been given another number one award this year. The two-time NBA Champion has topped the NBA’s global list of jersey sales, beating out the likes of (2) Derrick Rose, (3) Kobe Bryant, (4) Kevin Durant, and teammate (5) Dwayne Wade.

This might actually be one of  James’ favorite titles; in an article on ESPN, he said,

"To know that so many people look up to me, so many kids, that’s what means more than anything, that I continue to inspire the youth and they look at me as a role model.I understand, when you wear someone’s jersey, you actually like believe in them. You believe they can do supernatural things. It’s like an extension of our family, and I really appreciate that."

What’s interesting about the rankings is that Derrick Rose actually topped the list in some pretty populous places such as China, Latin America, and Europe. The article also mentions that James topped the sales in the Philippines.

Rounding out the top ten jersey sales for this year are: (6) Carmelo Anthony, (7) Dwight Howard – in a Lakers uniform, (8) Deron Williams, (9) Blake Griffin, and (10) Rajon Rondo. As far as just sales in the United States go, the top four remain the same, but Carmelo Anthony surpasses Dwayne Wade for the 5 spot.
