
One of the pleasant surprises of the 2013 NFL season thus far has been the play of Detroit Lions running back Reggie Bush. Drafted second-overall in the 2006 NFL Draft, Bush has never manged to live up to that status, and has even received a ābustā label by many.
With the New Orleans Saints, Bush was nothing more than a glorified scat-back who was good for 40-60 receptions per year, but never received an abundance of carries due to his tendency to shy-away from contact:
"āI just remember that my head was spinning and I was trying to outrun everybody to the sideline.ā"
