Former Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Josh Freeman is currently a free agent and entertaining offers from teams around the league. Freeman told FOX’s Jay Glazer that he is nearing a decision tonight.

"Josh Freeman told me he’d like to make a decision tonight on where to go, wants to compete for starting job. raiders, bills, Niners, Vikings, Packers among teams who’ve reached out"

The list of teams interested in Freeman, or as possible destinations for Freeman, are as follows: Oakland Raiders, Buffalo Bills, San Francisco 49ers, Minnesota Vikings, and Green Bay Packers.

It might boil down to where he gets a better chance to compete for playing time. In San Francisco and Green Bay he’d clearly be a back up. The Bills probably aren’t looking for someone to compete with E.J. Manuel long-term but they need a quarterback now. Manuel sprained his LCL and should be out six weeks or longer.

Glazer says that Freeman has talked to the Raiders’ Dennis Allen on the phone, they could be interested in moving on from Terrelle Pryor.

The Minnesota Vikings have the weapons that would make that job appealing, unfortunately they’ve vocalized their commitment to Christian Ponder and have a serviceable back up in Matt Cassel. Basically, it is crowded and messy in Minnesota.

If he does wait for the games to end it will be a late night. The Chargers-Raiders game doesn’t kick off till 11:35 pm ET.
