Milwaukee Brewers’ Carlos Gomez undergoes procedure on right elbow
By David Miniel
Milwaukee Brewers fans can take a deep breathe and calm their nerves if they got a little twitchy while reading the headline of this story.
The procedure that was done on Milwaukee Brewers outfielder Carlos Gomez was just a minor one. It was nothing big that will cause him to sit out most of next season, it was to clean up some ‘loose bodies’ as they called it.
The 27 year old Brewer is expected to undergo his normal off-season routines and will be ready by Spring Training. He’s coming off one of his best seasons of his young career as he hit .284/.338/.506 across the line with 24 home runs, driving in 73 RBI’s and stealing 40 bases.
This Brewers team is going to need him to step up now that guys like Corey Hart and Ryan Braun are pretty much out of the pitcher for right now. They still have Ricky Weeks to provide a little bit of power, but Gomez will eventually be the core of that outfield in Milwaukee.
As a Chicago Cubs fan, you have to admire the talent that Gomez possesses.
He even sent out a Tweet, even though it is in Spanish.
It means something along the lines of ‘Look how it turned out’ regarding his elbow. He talks about changing the dressing and he feels great thanks to God.
