With just one day to go before their key NFC East match up against the Dallas Cowboys, the Philadelphia Eagles have officially ruled that back up running back Chris Polk has been ruled out of the Week 7 contest.

Polk has been dealing with a shoulder injury that was suffered during last week’s game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. There was some concern about whether or not he would be available. Head coach Chip Kelly confirmed the news today.

From Les Bowen of the Philadelphia Daily News:

It will be interesting to see if the team makes any last second moves to make up for the loss of Polk, but no matter what they do it is unlikely that there will be any player available that will make a significant contribution to the game.
