Green Bay Packers tight end Jermichael Finley has been released from ICU and made the announcement on Twitter. That is incredibly good news after he was carried off the field on a stretcher Sunday.
He released the following statement over a series of Tweets:
"I want to thank my family, friends, teammates, fans and Packer Nation for the prayers and support over the past 24 hrs. I’m happy to report that I have been transferred out of the intensive care unit and that I have full feeling in my arms and legs. As importantly, I was able 2 walk to & from the shower today, which was badly needed after yesterday’s victory! Thank u again 4 the support, and Go Packers!"
It is the second concussion he has suffered this season and his return is up in the air. Head coach Mike McCarthy said it would be premature to give Finley a timeline for his return. Especially considering it is a “significant injury.”
Still, it is good to hear that Finley has progressed quickly. More importantly it is good to hear he has feeling in all his limbs.
