It was a scary scene during the Green Bay Packers and Cleveland Browns game as Packers tight end Jermichael Finley had to be carted off the field after suffering a neck injury.
As a Chicago Bears fan, I would never wish this type of injury upon a player of our arch nemesis in this league. Nobody deserves to have to worry if they’re going to be able to walk or let alone move a single finger. Sadly it comes as apart of this game.
Players put their heads down all the time, so injuries like this are bound to happen. We’ve seen a lot of them over the years and some of them have claimed the careers of players of all ages. It’s the cruel side of this sport, but what do you expect?
Now the Green Bay Packers are more than likely prepared to place Finley on the injured reserve sometime soon. I doubt he plays another down for the remainder of the season, but should come back full force next year.
The Packers will take on the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday, then travel back home to play the Chicago Bears on Monday Night Football.
