The Denver Broncos were able to score 35 unanswered points against the Washington Redskins on Sunday afternoon to notch up another win, but Peyton Manning could be without one of his most reliable targets moving forward. Broncos tight end Julius Thomas is set to undergo an MRI on Monday to some part of his leg after getting injured very early in the first-half.
From Vic Lombardi of CBS Denver:
Julius Thomas will undergo an MRI on his ankle/leg/foot tomorrow. Did not see him in the locker room after the game.

It is a scary issue for a guy that has a history of dealing with his fair share of ankle injuries, so the Broncos, Manning and Thomas will be holding their breath.
If Thomas is forced to miss time, it will be Joel Dreessen that gets the call.
No disrespect to Dreesen, but he doesn’t have the same kind of talent that has led Thomas to a breakout season where he was on pace for 902 yards and 16 touchdowns.
