RUNNING BACK

1. LeSean McCoy, Philadelphia Eagles

McCoy has been the bright spot in the Eagles run-heavy offense. He has rushed for a league-high 733 yards. Add in the 284 yards receiving and he has 1,017 all purpose yards through eight games. He just needs to find the end zone more. He only has three touchdowns on the season.

2. Marshawn Lynch, Seattle Seahawks

Lynch has been full on beast mode again this season. He has rushed 138 times for 578 yards, a 4.2 yards per carry average, and rushed for 6 touchdowns. In the passing game he has caught 14 passes for 177 yards and another touchdown.

3. Adrian Peterson, Minnesota Vikings

Adrian Peterson is having a solid season following up his 2,000 yard campaign last season. He has rushed 128 yards for 571 yards and 6 touchdowns. That is an average of 4.5 yards per carry. He has also caught 19 passes for 124 yards and another touchdown. He isn’t repeating his 2012 season numbers, but that wasn’t expected.

Others in the race:

Frank Gore, San Francisco 49ers

He is having a stellar season and it was hard to leave him off this list. he has rushed 146 times for 618 yards and 7 touchdowns. I left him off because he wasn’t as productive in the pass game as Lynch or Peterson.
