Saints WR Marques Colston inactive today
By Mike Dyce
ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter is reporting that New Orleans Saints wide receiver Marques Colston is inactive today against the New York Jets. He also included in the tweet that Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Roddy White is inactive, but we learned about that earlier today.
Colston has had a solid year for the Saints, he has 27 catches for 342 yards and a touchdown. He has had six 1,000 yard receiving seasons in his seven year career. With seven games this season under his belt it looks like he could challenge his career low in a season. In 2008 he caught 47 passes for 760 yards, but he only played 11 games that year.
Colston’s decline in performance could be in part because of tight end Jimmy Graham’s emergence.
