Titans at Rams final score: Tennessee wins 28-21
By Stu White
Thanks to a strong game from running back Chris Johnson, the Tennessee Titans improved their record to 4-4 on the year by beating the St. Louis Rams to the tune of 28-21 on Sunday. St. Louis is now 3-6 on the season.
Johnson’s good game helped balance out the mediocre performance by Tennessee quarterback Jake Locker. Locker completed only 13 of this 22 passes, throwing for 185 yards and two interceptions (good for a paltry rating of 48.5). But Johnson carried the ball 23 times for 150 yards and two touchdowns, including the game-winning score from 19 yards out with about three minutes remaining in the game.
Former Oregon Ducks quarterback Kellen Clemens, filling in for the injured Sam Bradford, threw a single touchdown for the Rams. He completed 20 of his 35 passes for 210 yards. St. Louis was led by rookie running back Zac Stacy, who carried the ball 27 times for 127 yards and two TDs.
