Buffalo Bills rookie quarterback E.J. Manuel, who was the first quarterback selected in the 2013 NFL Draft, suffered a sprained LCL against the Cleveland Browns in Week 5 and has been out of action since. Without Manuel in the line up, the Bills have been forced to go with Jeff Tuel and Thad Lewis, which is obviously a less than ideal situation.

However, the team received some good news and could soon see a boost in their offense with the news that Manuel has been cleared to return to the field.

The Bills made the announcement on Monday morning.

Head coach Doug Marrone will now have to determine when Manuel can return to the starting line up, but it could be as soon as Week 10 against the Pittsburgh Steelers:

It will be a tough decision for Marrone, considering the Steelers recent success against rookie quarterbacks, but if they feel Manuel gives the team the best chance at adding a win he will be the starter moving forward.
