Indiana Pacers point guard George Hill has missed the previous two games with a sore left hip. The injury occurred during the Pacers’ 95-90 victory over the New Orleans Pelicans last Wednesday . He left the game briefly after feeling some pain but returned and hit a big 3-pointer down the stretch to help complete a comeback. But the soreness increased Thursday and he missed practice Friday.

Indiana Head Coach Frank Vogel said he hopes Hill will be back Tuesday to face the Detroit Pistons after he was avble to practice today, but was limited for parts of it and is likely to be a game-time decision Tuesday night.

Hill had his best statistical season as a pro last year, producing career-highs in points (14.2), assists (4.7), rebounds (3.7) and steals (1.0). With all the firepower the Pacers have, he should continue on his success this season as the Pacers try to win the Eastern Conference after going to Game 7 with the eventual NBA-champion Miami Heat last year.
