Monday NBA games: Start time, TV info and more
By Jason Marcum
Its a new week in the NBA, and after the latest power rankings were released by ESPN, it’s safe to say the best matchup of the night will see the undefeated Houston Rockets facing a tough road test against the Los Angeles Clippers.
Houston is on the brink of its first 4-0 mark since way back in 1996-97, while LA is 2-1 and trying to break through into the the upper-echelon of the NBA. Both teams have enough talent to make deep runs ion the the playoffs so long as they stay healthy.
It will also be a interesting matchup featuring Clippers center DeAndre Jordan against the league’s best big-man in Dwight Howard,k who is averaging 15.0 points, 17.0 rebounds and 1.7 blocks for the Rockets, who are limiting opponents to 38.7 percent shooting. The All-Star center averaged 19.3 points on 60.0 percent shooting and 3.0 blocks in four losses against the Clippers last season while with the Lakers.
