When the Indianapolis Colts fell behind by 18 points to the Houston Texans on the road last night, the thought of them coming back to win that game without Pro Bowlers and likely Hall-of-fame-bound Reggie Wayne seemed unlikely to say the least.
But the team was able to rally to victory in the same manner Wayne hopes to rally this offseason and come back from his devastating ACL tear that, at age 34, would end the career of many NFL players. But not Wayne, as he’s pledged to come back next season:
"“I just grind,” he said. “I just go out there and give it everything I’ve got, no matter if it’s rehab, if it’s practice, a game. I do everything I do to be ready. When I hear that, I hear all the fans [saying], ‘I know you’re coming back, I know you’re coming back better.’ … I’ve got no choice. I have to come back. It will be just another chapter in the book. Hopefully it’ll be a good one.”"
