Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Dez Bryant has been dealing with some back issues this week. There were some early concerns that it could be a bulging or herniated disc, but tests indicate it is more a muscular problem. Bryant will play according to ESPN’s Ed Werder. It really shouldn’t come as much of a surprise, Bryant said he’d be playing on Friday.
The bigger revelation is that he had an Epidural injection last week.

The Cowboys don’t seem concerned.
“We don’t seem to have any long-term concern about that at all,” coach Jason Garrett said. “We’re just trying to address an issue. If you look at our locker room and probably locker rooms all over the league a lot of guys are nicked up this time of year and you’ve got to do your best as a medical staff to get them healthy, to get them out on the practice field and get them ready to play on Sunday.”
