There were reports from Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network that Ben Roethlisberger is unhappy with the Pittsburgh Steelers. The issues are also reportedly deeper than just tension with offensive coordinator Todd Haley and that there could be some trade rumors this upcoming offseason.

There were further reports from Rapoport and Mike Silver that the Arizona Cardinals and Bruce Arians could try to land Roethlisberger this offseason. Clearly they’re unhappy with Carson Palmer if that is true.

Jason La Canfora of CBS Sports tweeted out a “conflicting report” shortly after these tweets. He reports that the Steelers never fielded offers for Big Ben, and the only time they considered it, was when he was dealing with off field issues and Sam Bradford was available to draft.

The only problem is, La Canfora is talking about the past with his “never fielded” comments. I suppose he didn’t quite understand that Rapoport was saying to expect offseason trade rumors this upcoming spring.

Not this past spring, or any past spring.
