The Green Bay Packers shouldn’t feel comfortable with their backup quarterback situation right now. Free agent Matt Flynn was signed by the Packers on Monday after Seneca Wallace was injured during Sunday’s loss to the Philadelphia Eagles, and the team is unsure if he’ll be healthy enough to serve as Scott Tolzien’s backup in Week 11.
As it turns out, Wallace will miss the remainder of the season
Even though they did sing Flynn, it looks like they’ll still be kicking the tires on John Skelton, who has plenty of starting experience, having started 17 games for the Arizona Cardinals during the last three seasons. He has just a career 63.0 passer rating though, and won’t be expected to light the world on fire in Green Bay. He was part of the Cincinnati Bengals final wave of cuts after Josh Johnson beat Skeleton for the back up job.
