The Tennessee Titans announced earlier today that starting quarterback Jake Locker would be placed on season-ending injured reserve with the dreaded Lisfranc injury. Now, as we learn more about the extent of the injury, it is being reported that Locker will be undergoing surgery at a future date to repair the issue with his foot.
From Jim Wyatt of the Tennessean:
Been told #Titans QB Jake Locker is going to need surgery to repair Lisfranc injury, though it hasn't taken place yet.

The injury comes at a bad time for the Titans, considering they are in the thick of the AFC Wild Card race, but the good news is that the team has been able to manage respectably when Locker missed time earlier in the year with a hip issue.
Back up signal-caller Ryan Fitzpatrick will be taking over the starting duties and hope to lead the team into a postseason berth.
If Fitzpatrick is successful, the injury-prone Locker will need to worry about his job security next season.
