The Tampa Bay Buccaneers enjoyed their first win of the season on Monday night over the Miami Dolphins. However, in the win, they’ve lost a big part of their offense, and they don’t know as of now for how long.
Running back Mike James, it’s being reported, suffered a fractured ankle in the first quarter of the win over the Dolphins, and he will be out indefinitely at this point:
James was carted off the field after the injury and did not return to the sidelines. Originally, his return was reported as questionable, but with learning now how serious the injury actually was, a return was never a possibility.
The running back was a good reason as to why the Bucs got off to such a hot start on Monday night. In just five carries, he registered 41 yards before going down with the ankle fracture.
This is the second huge blow to the Tampa Bay backfield this year, as they’ve already lost starter Doug Martin to a labrum injury that he suffered earlier this season.
