Just throwing out the fact that I realize itās a picture from last weeks game, a picture of Johnson is yet to be released. So now that I got that out of the way, letās get started on this article.
Calvin Johnson and the Detroit Lions are currently sitting at the top of the NFC North all by themselves and they have plenty of time to extend their lead. With Aaron Rodgers and Jay Cutler out while Minnesota struggles with their quarterback situation, the Lions are looking like the favorite to win the division for the first time since 1993 back when it was the NFC Central.
Now itās been a back and forth game against a Steelers team who looks like theyāre finding their rhythm offensively but have been matching them point for point. Detroit has to be watching the scoreboard as the second place Chicago Bears are currently hosting the Baltimore Ravens. Game happens to be in a weather delay.
Anyways, Matthew Stafford is over 300 yards already with two touchdowns in just the first half of todayās game. Heās currently on pace to throw for over 500 yards, even 600 if he carries over his first half playing ability.
Calvin Johnson has almost 200 receiving yards and two touchdowns. Heās also on pace to shatter yet another record.
