This might the oddest story you read, but it is another example of why college sports are so awesome. We saw the Michigan State students force a pair of shot clock violations by using false countdowns to fake the opposing team out, now a fan came up with a creative way to help his team.

North Carolina forward James Michael McAdoo was at the line preparing to take some free throws. He is going through his normal routine and is in the motion of taking his shot when someone from the crowd screams out a line from the chorus of Miley Cyrus’ “Wrecking Ball,” the famous “I came in like a wrecking ball” line to be exact.

It looks like it worked, he missed the free throw, though he isn’t particularly great at those anyways.

Here is the crazy part, the Tar Heels were playing at home. Normally players don’t get heckled at home and you’d think it wasn’t a Tar Heel fan blurting it out. It is pretty ballsy if it was a Belmont fan belting it out in enemy territory.

It happened pretty early in the game so it is safe to assume it was just a fan or college student trying to be funny. The No. 12 Tar Heels lost to Belmont at home though.
