The Houston Texans lost again this week, this time to the Oakland Raiders. At one point quarterback Case Keenum was pulled from the game for poor play and Matt Schaub was put out on the field. Schaub and veteran wide receiver Andre Johnson were seen jawing at one another on the side line.

After the game neither head coach Gary Kubiak, Schaub or Johnson talked about the situation. Johnson even went as far as to accept responsibility for it.

“I messed up. I’ll just put it like that,” Johnson said. “Me and Matt (Schaub) have played a lot of football together and things like that happen.”

Johnson did make an interesting statement that might dominate the headlines this week.

“I’m under contract so I have to play my contract out,” Johnson said, via SportsRadio 610 in Houston.  “I can’t do anything about that.”

The media took the Ben Roethlisberger trade rumor story and ran with it, despite Roethlisberger’s pleas that the reports were not true. Johnson took some preventive measures when he was asked if he was considering asking for a trade.

“I never asked for a trade.” Johnson said. He then asked reporters, “Did you here anything about that? Well then ok.”
