1. Baylor Bears: It was scary in the beginning against Texas Tech, but Baylor went into full-on beastmode again and continue to open up people’s eyes. With a win over Oklahoma State on Saturday night, not many people will be able to argue their legitimacy any longer.
2. Oklahoma State Cowboys: Someone finally ended the miracle Texas run, and it was indeed the Pokes. Now, they have a shot to end another streak–Baylor’s winning one.
3. Texas Longhorns: Even though they were dealt a harsh dose of reality by Okie State, 7-3 for this team still isn’t bad, considering the start. They’ll get a much-needed bye this week.
4. Oklahoma Sooners: The Sooners pulled away eventually against Iowa State. Now, they’ll travel to Manhattan to take on Bill Snyder and the Wildcats of Kansas State. I smell upset.
5. Kansas State Wildcats: Bill Snyder and his team squeaked out a victory against TCU on Saturday. Can Snyder pull some magic and upset Oklahoma this week? Don’t bet against the old man–ever.
6. Texas Tech Red Raiders: The latest victim of the Baylor onslaught now has a bye week after suffering their fourth consecutive loss.
7. TCU Horned Frogs: This is another team on a bye this week that definitely needs one.
8. West Virginia Mountaineers: Dana Holgorsen and his team are in the history books–for being the team that Kansas snapped their 27-game conference losing streak against. Morgantown may be taking applications for a new head man soon.
9. Kansas Jayhawks: Not only did they win their first conference game in 27 outings, but they’ll actually have a chance for two in a row this week when they take on…
10. Iowa State Cyclones: All this team has to do is channel those guys that played against Texas earlier this year and they can avoid the same fate that West Virginia suffered at the hands of Kansas.
