Another Sunday of NFL action has come to an end and this was an exciting weekend of action. This was a particularly exciting weekend with lots of thrilling finishes to games. And with thrilling finishes comes clutch performances, and we’ve taken it upon ourselves to rank this weeks clutch performances.

For our clutch power rankings, we go on a week to week basis. It is not cumulative, the slate is wiped clean every week.

1. Robbie Gould, K, Chicago Bears

Gould was 3/3 from field goal range in a game that was delayed because of tornadoes in the area and excessive winds. One of the field goals was a 38-yard kick that won the Bears the game in overtime.

2. Garrett Hartley, K, New Orleans Saints

In close games, sometimes the kicker can win you the game. That is what Hartley did for the Saints. They entered the 4th quarter down 20-14 and Hartley went to work. He scored all 9 fourth quarter points for the Saints, including the game-winning field goal as time expired.

3. Cam Newton, QB, Carolina Panthers

Cam did everything to beat the New England Patriots on Monday Night Football. He ran 7 times for 62 yards including two huge scrambles. Newton also completed 19 of 28 passes for 209 yards and three touchdowns. One of those touchdowns was a game winner to Ted Ginn Jr in the final minute of the game.

4. Drew Brees, QB, New Orleans Saints

On the drive that tied the game, Brees was 5 of 7 passing. That includes one incompletion that was ruled intentional grounding. He did fumble, but it was cancelled out by an illegal hit on a quarterback. On the final drive, Brees completed 3 of four passes to get the ball down field and in field goal range for Garrett Hartley.

5. Ted Ginn Jr, WR, Carolina Panthers

Ginn had one catch in the game. It was a 25 yard touchdown pass in the final minute of the game against the New England Patriots to give his team the win. He also had three kick returns for 53 yards.

6. Martellus Bennett, TE, Chicago Bears

Bennett had a big 43 yard reception on the game-winning drive in over time. That play basically put the Bears in field goal position and won them the game.

7. Justin Tucker, K, Baltimore Ravens

Tucker had to deal with the same conditions Gould had to. Tucker converted both his kicks despite the wind, one of which came in the final seconds of the game to tie the game.

8. Brent Grimes, CB, Miami Dolphins

The Chargers were 25 yards away from the end zone and in position to score. Brent Grimes got the ball thrown his way and knocked it away to give the Dolphins the win.
