Wednesday morning, Yankees third baseman Alex Rodriguez dramatically stormed out of his arbitration hearing regarding his appeal of his 211-game suspension for alleged PED use because he was irate that MLB commissioner Bud Selig would not be testifying.
It certainly caused a stir around the baseball world having one of the most polarizing and scrutinized figures in the history of the game throw a temper tantrum during a hearing.
So, logically, A-Rod would sit down later in the day with the most polarizing and scrutinized talk-radio hosts in New York City, Mike Francesa.
Rodriguez sat down with Francesa just a short time ago, and he had some interesting things to say, that’s for sure.
First, Rodriguez explained exactly why he was so irked this morning about Selig as he explained how the timeline was supposed to play out:
A-Rod says the plan was for Selig to testify Thursday, then A-Rod would have testified on Friday.

Then, in a somewhat unprecedented move, when asked directly about PED usage, A-Rod came out for the first time publicly and just flat out denied it:
A-Rod just said "No" to the question, "Did you do any PEDs?" That, to my knowledge, is the first time he's publicly answered that question.

Of course, Rodriguez wasn’t dumb enough to speak publicly without his attorney present, and he chimed in his two cents:
A-Rod's lawyer said, "If Bud Selig isn't coming to testify, Alex is not going back (to the hearing)."

Now, one constant through all of this has been the lack of support that the Yankees haven’t exactly provided their undying support for their third baseman through this all, which was also addressed by Rodriguez:
A-Rod said he's angry at the Yankees, "But I do have a responsibility. I am the third baseman."

He then expressed his anger toward the whole system:
A-Rod: "I'm so pissed off right now at the system."

Finally, most in A-Rod’s camp through this ordeal have described this as a witch hunt, and the Yanks’ third baseman agrees:
A-Rod: "100 percent this is personal."

Through it all though, he’s convinced in his mind that he won’t be serving anything when this is all said and done:
Where will A-Rod be Opening Day? "I'll either be at third base or sitting with you, Mike."
