The New York Giants are extremely motivated heading into the game against the Dallas Cowboys, who handed them their first loss. After that game they fell to 0-6 before getting their first win of the season. Since that win, they haven’t lost and are looking to keep climbing in an open NFC East division with a win over the Cowboys.

“Personally, I feel like this game is going to determine the outcome of the season,” said safety Antrel Rolle, via ESPN. “We can’t walk away with a loss.”

“Instead of us digging ourselves out of a hole, if we lose this football game, it’s more like them putting dirt on us,” said defensive end Justin Tuck. “Mathematically no, [losing] doesn’t mean we’re out of it. But we’re kinda looking at it as a must-win.”

A regular commenter on FanSided (SmartThinking) called this match up “the Giants’ Super Bowl,” and defensive end Jason Pierre-Paul did as well.

“It’s like a Super Bowl to us,” said fellow defensive end Jason Pierre-Paul. “We need it badly, and we gotta get it.”

The Cowboys are 5-5 and the Giants are 4-6, a win for the Giants would give them the same record and standing. The Eagles aren’t too far ahead at 6-5 and could be caught. The Giants could make a run at the playoffs still.
