There is nothing quite like coaches singing to each other, especially when it comes in the form of an old UCLA alum, turned Husky coach, turned UCLA coach… singing to a USC guy.

That’s right, former UCLA and Washington coach Rick Neuheisel went back to his singing ways Wednesday on Pac-12 Networks. The song choice tune was, if nothing else, interesting; Harry Belafonte’s “Banana Boat Song”. Click the link below to watch it.

Of course “coach O” is becoming quite the catch these days thanks to his valiant resurgence of the Men of Troy, mid-season no less. USC has recovered from a 4-2 start that included a seven point outing against Washington State and complete collapse at Arizona State.

Since then, the Trojans have gone 4-1, with their only loss coming on the road in a close game at Notre Dame. Everybody has heard by now that they beat Stanford last Saturday.

In short, ole’ Eddie O has earned himself some courtship, especially since the search for the USC coach may well not end with him. Neuheisel probably won’t be the last to serenade the Trojans’ interim man, but it’s certainly interesting to see that a UCLA man is the first to do it. That deserves a little “Coach O” dance! Give it to em O!
