Chicago Bears cornerback Zack Bowman has been fined $15,750 for a horse-collar tackle on Torrey Smith in their overtime loss to the Baltimore Ravens, according to a league spokesman.  Bowman was called for the penalty on a tackle made in the fourth quarter of the game on a 6-yard completion to Smith.

No one from the Ravens was fined, which included a horse collar tackle from Lardarius Webb on Bears running back Matt Forte and an unnecessary roughness call on Elvis Dumervil for a late hit on quarterback Josh McCown.  To this point, no one has expanded on the reason his play warranted a fine while the others did not.

The Bears prepare to try to bounce back from the overtime loss as they go on the road to play the St. Louis Rams as they are still in a tie for a share of first place in the NFC North.  Meanwhile, the Ravens are in a three-way tie for second place in the AFC North and prepare to host the New York Jets this week.
