The worst possible scenario for the Chicago Bulls and their fans happened on Friday night against the Portland Trail Blazers.
Late in the third quarter, when the Trail Blazers were transitioning to the other end of the floor following a turnover, point guard–and team star–Derrick Rose stepped the wrong way with his right leg, and left the game after being taken to the locker room by the training staff:
After missing all of last season rehabbing a left knee injury suffered in the previous year’s postseason, this was the last thing that the Bulls and their fans wanted to see. Of course, the worst possible scenario popped into their minds that they may have to go the rest of the season without Rose again.
Unfortunately, that may be the case as it’s being reported that the team fears Rose suffered a torn ACL in that right leg:
Good source tells me #Bulls fear it's a torn right ACL for Derrick Rose. If so, unlikely he will ever be the same.

This would obviously be a disastrous outcome out of all of this, but we won’t know the final diagnosis until later today, as Rose is scheduled to undergo an MRI Saturday afternoon.
