Week 12 was not kind to the Kansas City Chiefs. Not only did they suffer their second straight loss of the season to a division rival, but they watched two of their most talented defenders leave the game early with injuries. Both outside linebackers Tamba Hali and Justin Houston suffered injuries that forced them out of the loss to the San Diego Chargers, and the two men are set for MRIs on Monday.
While there is no update on the foot injury that was suffered by Hali, there is some word on the injury that was suffered by Houston.
According to reports, Houston suffered a subluxed elbow, which means his joint popped out of socket and then back in during the play. That sounds pretty painful and gruesome. The timetable for his return has not yet been set and the MRI will be used to determine whether or not more damage was done as the joint moved around.
From Mike Garafolo of FOX Sports 1:
Chiefs' Justin Houston suffered a subluxed elbow, which means it popped out then in. MRI Mon will tell ligament damage, length of recovery.
