The St. Louis Rams are done waiting on Courtland Finnegan to get healthy this season. The usually reliable and talented cornerback has been struggling this season and his eye injury was the end of the road.

Adam Schefter also gave word this morning that quarterback Brady Quinn was also placed on IR in a move that really doesn’t affect much of anything.

McDonald was a starter heading into the season and recorded 18 tackles and 2 pass break ups in four games. Unfortunately he broke his leg against the San Francisco 49ers in week 4, but he’ll get a chance to start making a difference again in these final weeks.
The Rams could use some more big plays in the back end, although their defense has been decent for the most part this season. McDonald was picked up as an athletic enforcer to bolster the Rams’ defense in the 3rd round of the 2013 NFL Draft.
