The Seattle Seahawks got a whole bunch of bad news the past two days. First it was Walter Thurmond getting a four-game suspension for Marijuana, then the news got worse.
Brandon Browner, another cornerstone of the Legion of Boom, has now been suspended a year for violating the league’s substance abuse policy. Thanks to Adam Schefter we also know that Browner has appealed.
Seahawks CB Brandon Browner is facing a one-year suspension from NFL for violating substance-abuse policy, per NFL sources. He has appealed.

It’s unclear whether or not this incident is related to the Thurmond incident but the chances are definitely pretty good. In fact a friend (and avid 12th Man affiliate) just mentioned this to me, “why is it that I picture The Legion of Boom passing a bong around?”
It’s going to get very interesting as the Playoffs draw nearer. Seattle right now is like the NFL’s “bad boys” and it seems they are being made an example of.
Browner getting suspended for a yr doesn't make much sense. When were his other suspensions for substance abuse?

The entire thing doesn't make much sense unless he tested positive as a Bronco years ago.
