Thereās no question that when theyāre clicking, the Detroit Lions have a pretty potent offense. However, to display this potency, you have to get and keep that ball in your possession. This is pretty much a common sense fact about the game of football.
Today against the Packers, though, itās a concept that the Lions are having a hard time wrapping their heads around as theyāve turned the ball over three times in the first half, one of which turned into a TD for Green Bay.
In the second quarter, the Lions had the ball at their own 20. Matthew Stafford dropped back to throw to try and get his team some breathing room, but he was immediately met from the backside by a blitzing Nick Perry. Perry knocked the ball loose and Morgan Burnett was right there to scoop it up, take it into the end zone for six, and perform a pretty neat Funky Chicken dance:

Not a bad start for the Pack, however, the Lions have just displayed some more discipline with that ball and scored, evening things up at 10.
