Former WWE Superstar Ultimate Warrior on Hall of Fame

If you’re familiar with the WWE (or F) back in the 1980’s, then you’re very familiar with the Ultimate Warrior.

A man who got the crowd pumped up with his very own unique entrance. As soon as that music hit, the crowd in attendance rose to their feet and tried to get a view of that monster of a man sprinting towards the ring. Now most wrestlers usually walk casually down the isle, but not this guy.

I think that’s why fans loved him so much. It’s a little unheard of considering the endurance you need in order to compete in a professional wrestling match. Most matches average around five to eight minutes for low card wrestlers, well with the WWE.

Guys like Warrior who competed at a mid-level or main event card, are usually putting on matches that last anywhere from 15 to 20 or 30 minutes per match depending on the event.

Warrior took this company by storm but eventually fell off the face of the Wrestling world. Now he’s  done a lot in his career and even on the Indy scene.

It’s a little surprising that he hasn’t been inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame, which by the will have inductees announced sometime in January. Now most guys are very open to it, it’s one of the highest honors you can receive.

You know you made an impact if you are inducted into the Hall of Fame, no matter the sport.

Most guys who have had some bad fall outs with companies have refused the Hall of Fame because of personal reasons.

"“The simple answer is they’ve got to tell the right story. That’s a possibility. Being in the Hall of Fame – Ultimate Warrior being inducted into the Hall of Fame, or me standing there at the Hall of Fame participating in it – is not going to mean anything to my goals in life and the kind of quality of life I’m going to have, what kind of things I’m going to do, how productive I’m going to be as I move on throughout my life.” Ultimate Warrior said in an interview."

Whatever is going on that’s stopping Warrior from being inducted needs to be settled. The man deserves it, so it’ll be interesting to see if he’s inducted within the next couple years.

I highly doubt he’s inducted in 2014.
