Tyler Seguin injury update
Tyler Seguin was forced out of tonight’s contest between the Dallas Stars and Edmonton Oilers due to concussion-like symptoms. The team hasn’t released much information on the matter yet, but Seguin was a game-time decision as Dallas geared up for Edmonton. He wasn’t feeling well enough to go tonight, and is watching from the sidelines for the time being.

It is believed that Seguin sustained the head trauma on Friday night against the Chicago Blackhawks, but an exact moment of impact hasn’t been identified at this time. The team had initially reported that he could sit due to a muscle issue of some kind.

It’s tough to imagine how the 2013-14 season could be going much better for Seguin, at least up until this point. He’s the leading scorer for the Stars and has finally found chemistry with Jamie Benn. The duo have been crushing as of late, but it seems that the forward momentum will be put on hold for the time being.
There is no timetable available for Seguin’s return, but he has been seen up and about this evening while his teammates play down on the ice.
