The Seattle Seahawks hosted the New Orleans Saints on Monday Night Football in a game that many thought would be the best on the Week 13 schedule. Unfortunately, it didn’t take long for the game to get out of hand and turn in to a Seahawks route.
When the final whistle blew, Seattle earned the 34-7 win.
Seattle jumped out to a 17-point first quarter lead before the Saints used a Jimmy Graham touchdown to get on the board. After that, it was all Seattle as the Seahawks defense shut the New Orleans out for the remainder of the game and Russell Wilson went on a roll.
Seattle proved to the league that they are the team to beat and they are nearly unstoppable at home, so if they are able to clinch home-field advantage throughout the playoffs the NFC is in serious trouble.
Wilson finished the game with 310 yards passing, three touchdowns and no interceptions, while adding 48 yards on the ground. As for Drew Brees, he watched his 43-game streak with at least 200 yards passing come to an end as he was held to just 147 yards passing and a touchdown.
It was a dominant way to close out the latest week of action, so let’s all soak in the butt-whooping the Saints took as we figure out where to place them in the latest power rankings and get set for the final month of the season.
