
The Seattle Seahawks have been able to control the New Orleans Saints rather well at home tonight on Monday Night Football.
Their defense has been making some plays against that high-powered Saints offense that has been able to keep Drew Brees and company in check throughout most of the first half.
But with as much notoriety as the Seattle defense gets, I still think that some begin to forget that they have a pretty effective offensive unit as well. Russell Wilson mans a sore group of guys that are playmakers in their own right.
But sometimes, things just don’t go their way, like in the second quarter when they deep into Saints territory, looking for a possible score that would further their lead even more.
Russell Wilson dropped back to pass and found himself under duress. In typical Wilson fashion, he was able to get out of trouble and find some room to his left eventually.
Then, he had a wide open JermainE Kearse running in stride in the end zone. The only problem was, Kearse dropped the ball, and that left head coach Pete Carroll in agony:
