If the Pittsburgh Steelers want to remain in the playoff hunt and have a legitimate shot at making the postseason, they will likely need to win the remaining games on their schedule. Unfortunately for the team, they have plenty of key injuries that will leave their starting line up searching for players to step up into bigger roles.
Offensive linemen Kelvin Beachum and David DeCastro are listed as questionable, while the team has officially ruled starting defensive end Brett Keisel out of next week’s game.
From Ed Bouchette of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette:
Tomlin: Beachum r knee sprain, questionable for game. DeCastro l foot sprain, questionable. Keisel out, took a step backward in game Thurs

Keisel has been dealing with a plantar fasciitis issue the past few weeks and the latest setback is troubling.
With his contract set to expire and Keisel getting no younger, there is some serious concern that his career is being threatened by the injury.
Hopefully he will be able to get back to full strength soon and help the team rack up the necessary wins, but plantar fasciitis is always a nagging issue that doesn’t go away easily.
