The Atlanta Hawks got off to a fantastic start, building an early 12-point lead and rolled from there, defeating the Los Angeles Clippers 107-97.

Hawks’ big man Paul Millsap was fantastic again, finishing with 25 points, nine rebounds, six assists and three blocks. Kyle Korver added 23 points on six-of-nine shooting from beyond the arc and Al Horford scored 21 points and pulled down nine rebounds.

Blake Griffin led the Clippers with 24 points and seven rebounds while Chris Paul finished with 19 points, 11 assists, three rebounds and three steals.

The story of the game was the three-point line. The Clippers hit just four of their 19 attempts from downtown while the Hawks seemingly couldn’t miss. Korver’s six-of-nine performance obviously led the way, but the rest of the Hawks still went six-of-14 from three and the Hawks shot 52.2% from beyond the arc as a team. The Hawks outscored the Clippers by 24 from three.

The win improves the Hawks to 10-10. They will be in Cleveland to take on the Cavaliers Friday. The Clippers are now 12-7 and they’ll continue their road trip Thursday in Memphis against the Grizzlies.
