Toronto mayor Rob Ford, a beacon of sound judgment if there ever was one, was spotted at the Buffalo Bills vs. Atlanta Falcons game on Sunday. From this fact we can deduce that Rob Ford is a football fan. From there we can safely say that he has an opinion about if “Redskins” is an offensive team name (you pretty much aren’t allowed to follow football these days without having your own Hot Take regarding the topic).
So what does Rob Ford think about the Washington Redskins? Don Peat of the Toronto Sun has the predictable answer.
"‘That’s ridiculous. What are we going to call the Cleveland Indians? The Cleveland Aboriginals next? Where do we start? The Skins are the Skins and I stick with the Washington Redskins.’ – Mayor Rob Ford today on whether the Washington Redskins should change their name."
Impeccable logic, Mr. Ford. (Am I the only one who thinks Mr. Ford of Frisky Dingo would be a better political leader than Rob Ford? I can’t be the only one who believes that, right?)
