Kevin Durant tells Portland fan to ‘shut up’
By Mike Dyce
Oklahoma City Thunder star Kevin Durant has never been shy about interacting with fans. At a home game he went over and talked to some fans sitting courtside in Houston Rockets gear and reportedly asked “do you know where you are?”
Now in Portland playing the Trail Blazers, Durant exchanged pleasantries with some fans again. Durant had just committed a foul trying to block a shot and it looks like he made contact, unintentionally, with Mo Williams late in the second quarter.
You can hear a fan yelling at Durant, something along the lines of “yeah, you got all ball?” Durant then turns and yells “shut up” back at him.
The Trail Blazers went on to win the game 111-104 behind the leadership of power forward LaMarcus Aldridge, who scored 38 points and 13 rebounds.
“I don’t know if I have the words, to be honest,” Blazers coach Terry Stotts said of Aldridge’s night. “Offensively, obviously he can score. But I liked his toughness, I liked his leadership, I liked his competitive fire. As much as he played very well, it was a lot of the intangibles that I really appreciated from him tonight.”
Durant also praised the Trailblazers star.
“He was shooting turnarounds from almost the 3-point line over the top of our bigs and knocking them down,” Durant said of Aldridge. “That’s what great players do, they come through in the clutch and make shots.”
Still, this fan got under his skin a bit.
