The Tennessee Titans look like they’re headed towards a bit of an upheaval this offseason. NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport and Mike Silver are reporting that head coach Mike Munchak is coaching for his job and that the team is expected to part ways with running back Chris Johnson following the season.
The Titans are also expected not to pick up Jake Locker’s $13 million club option in 2015. That means they’ll need a new quarterback and look to add one via the draft or free agency. Rapoport is reporting that the Titans will make a run at current Chicago Bears quarterback Jay Cutler, whose contract expires at the end of the season.
Why is Munchak coaching for his job? Philosophical differences between coaches and brass. Built as run-first team, playing as passing team

#Titans not expected to pick up 2015 option ($13M) for QB Jake Locker, @MikeSilver & I are told. Puts them immediately in the QB market.

Name to watch for #Titans future QB: Jay Cutler. Sources: He’s on the radar & believed to be interested in being back in Tenn. if out in CHI

He wants to be paid like franchise QB. Will Bears do it? RT @shield_notebook: @RapSheet No way the Bears will let Cutler walk. Or will they?

Why is the Jake Locker 2015, fifth-year option relevant now? Titans must make it final this May, not next May. It’s a $13M decision.
