Last Sunday, the Oakland Raiders had to promote their full back to the running back position after losing both Darren McFadden and Rashad Jennings to injuries. That’s not something that will happen again this week though as Raiders beat writer Vic Tafur is reporting that Jennings has passed his concussion test and is expected to be allowed to play this upcoming week.
10-second update: Rashad Jennings passed his concussion test; Allen says McGloin starts last 3 games w/ spot duty for Pryor. Boom. #Raiders

The Raiders will need all the help they can get on Sunday with the Kansas City Chiefs on the schedule. It’s not a totally out of reach game but it’s close to that, and having Jennings back is much needed help for Oakland. Jennings has been out-producing starter Darren McFadden who isn’t even the starter anymore thanks to injuries and the great backup play by Jennings.
Having Jennings back doesn’t change the game for the Raiders but it gives them a little relief in a game where the odds are stacked against them. Oakland will likely not be picking up another year with Darren McFadden which means these last few weeks will be big audition weeks for Jennings.
