Slow down there, Sparky. Peyton Manning and the Denver Broncos exploded in the second half of their 13-degree game at home against Tennessee on their way to a 51-28 victory. Peyton has 45 touchdowns on the year with three games still left to play. He’s got mind-blowing stats. No one is arguing that. But following the game Peyton was asked to address the critics who’ve stated that he’s had trouble playing in cold weather. Peyton’s response was a bit defiant.

"“Whoever wrote that narrative can shove it where the sun don’t shine. I felt pretty good out there today.” – Peyton Manning"

Well, Peyton, whoever wrote that narrative was just throwing out some basic statistics. Peyton, in his career, including Sunday’s game is now at 4-7 when game-time temperatures at or below freezing. He’s still lost more than he’s won in the cold even throwing eleventy-billion touchdowns against the Titans on Sunday. While you have to figure that Peyton knew what he was doing when he had his choice of NFL teams to play for and picked Denver, I’m still not “silenced” that he’s got issues playing in the cold.
