The Washington Redskins drama continues to build. Shortly after news that head coach Mike Shanahan has decided to start Kirk Cousins in Week 15 against the Atlanta Falcons, news surfaced that Robert Griffin III will not even suit up for the game.

Griffin will be ruled inactive for the Week 15 match up, while Rex Grossman will back up Cousins.

From Jeff Darlington of the NFL Network:

It is certainly an interesting situation and one that only adds to the intrigue in Washington, as we all wonder what in the world Mike Shanahan is doing.

Shanahan says that he wants to protect Griffin from injury, but it looks like the real plan is to force himself out of town. Luckily for Shanahan, he is probably going to get his wish, we will just have to see how soon that comes.
