Brandan Wright came off of the bench to score a team-high 19 points on nine-of-10 shooting as the Dallas Mavericks cruised to an easy 106-93 victory over the lowly Milwaukee Bucks on Saturday night.

Wright, who re-signed with the Mavericks in the offseason, was making his season debut, returning from a shoulder injury.

Jose Calderon chipped in 18 points, Shawn Marion had 13 points and 12 rebounds and Vince Carter had 15 points, nine assists and six rebounds off of the bench.

John Henson had 18 points, 13 rebounds and two blocks while Brandon Knight pitched in with 16 points for the Bucks. O.J. Mayo’s return to Dallas did no go well. Mayo had  four points on one-of-six shooting in just 15 minutes.

The balanced attack helped the Mavericks overcome the absence of superstar Dirk Nowitzki and head coach Rick Carlisle, who both missed the game due to an “undisclosed illness.”

The game was over right away as the Mavericks poured in 38 first quarter points and never looked back. The Mavericks shot 47.7% from the floor (42-of-88) and shot 41.7% from behind the arc (41.7%).

The Mavericks are now  14-10 while the Bucks continue to pile up the ping pong balls at 5-19.
